Private Driver Experience Tour to Sorrento & its Culinary Delicacies

Located on the Sorrentine Peninsula about 45 kms. south of Naples, Sorrento isn’t just famous for its quaint shops and proximity to the Amalfi Coast but also its culinary specialties, such as: mozzarella cheese, big juicy lemons from which we make the digestif Limoncello, wine, oil – ovile & tomatoes.

On this seven-hour tour, you’ll depart from the cruise terminal in Naples or Salerno (or even hotels in the rest of the region) and head to Sorrento.  The first stop is at the Limoncello factory where you can sample for free the famous liqueur and also its sweeter version, the cream of Limoncello. At the factory, why not see also how Limoncello is made? You can see the whole production just in the back of the shop.

Our next stop is in the centre of Sorrento, where you can enjoy a two-hour self-guided tour. Browse the antique stores and have a cappuccino in one of the many delightful local cafes.

We then proceed to a farm, just two minutes away from the main square, but it looks like a totally different world. Once up there, you enter the home of Signora Maria & Rosa, two ladies of a big local family that has been welcoming travellers for decades. They show you how mozzarella cheese is made, then they serve you the most flavourful local lunch with three courses: as an appettizer you’ll get a dish with mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, marinated eggplants, salami, prosciutto & olives; then the main course with pasta, tomatoe sauce & ricotta cheese; then lastly the lemon cake dessert. Everything is homemade, including the red wine that accompanies you through the meal. Do you want to ask for more? Our tour ends when we arrive back at the port of Naples/Salerno or to the hotel where you were picked up in the morning.
